Cumberland ME- The Perfect New England Landscape
Aug 01, 2017 in Town Reports

Cumberland ME, just minutes from the Falmouth Foreside, overlooks the North Atlantic. It is a small-town located on the coast of Southern Maine. Cumberland prides itself on being community based and one of the safest towns to live in. Cumberland has many outdoor recreational facilities: Twin Brook, Rines Forest (a kids favorite), Val Halla, and more. Specifically, Twin Brooks offers over 22 acres of mixed athletic fields (soccer, baseball, softball, etc.) and over four miles of tree line walking trails. There are so many activities to do in any season. In the summer residents often walk or run on town trails, and play tennis or golf at Val Halla. In the winter residents can cross country ski, snow shoe and skate at any of the various town facilities. Best of all, many of these facilities are open to the public at no charge.

Cumberland Foreside boasts both waterfront and water access properties. Residents also have access to public waterfront at Broad Cove Reserve. Whether you are looking for a waterfront property overlooking the ocean, or a cape style home set back from the water, real estate in Cumberland ME will fit your needs.

In 2017 the Cumberland ME real estate market actually saw a signficant price incline of 28.3% and volume went down by 14.6%.  Thus the market demand for homes and condos is not keeping up with the inventory number. However, new housing developments will start to transpire in the coming months to fulfill this demand.
